The 822 fit applied to one of ONI's most recent fabric developments — the 822-LS13.5 introduces Oishi-san's original "Long Slub" denim in one of the most distinctive silhouettes in the ONI lineup.

The fabric features an indigo warp with a natural weft, giving it a rugged, textured look defined by its distinctive elongated slub character. Despite the substantial 13.5oz weight, the cloth feels surprisingly light and comfortable to wear from the very first day. The slub yarns are what set this fabric apart — exceptionally irregular in thickness and structure, they create an elongated, highly expressive surface texture that will evolve dramatically over time, revealing a beautifully contrasted patina as the indigo fades against the retained natural weft. Few fabrics in the ONI lineup age with quite this level of drama.

The 822 cut is a super wide tapered silhouette — similar in spirit to the celebrated ONI 222, but refined with a stronger taper from the knee down. Cut with a high rise and a wide top block, it features a firm taper below the knee that brings balance and structure to the otherwise bold profile. The result allows you to enjoy a dramatic wide fit while maintaining a clean, wearable shape toward the hem — distinct from both classic wide straight and standard tapered profiles.

Premium details reflect the brand's obsession with quality throughout. The jeans feature ONI's original donut buttons, punched rivets reinforcing stress points, a leather patch, and the distinctive selvedge ID visible when the cuffs are rolled.

Fit Notes: This model fits true to size for ONI — the tagged size closely matches the actual waist measurement. Compared to most global American brands, sizing is similar or slightly smaller, so you may take the same size or one size up. The denim is unsanforized but has been one-washed, so no further shrinkage is expected.
