Officially Licensed US Navy VT-2 Doerbirds Throwback Patch

Officially Licensed US Navy VT-2 Doerbirds Throwback Patch — Embroidered Patch

Where Wings Were Earned

The Doerbirds of VT-2 have been producing naval aviators since before most modern aircraft existed. This throwback patch honors the heritage of Training Squadron 2, one of the Navy's foundational flight training units that has shaped generations of pilots who went on to fly everything from Corsairs to Super Hornets.

VT-2, the Doerbirds, is one of the Navy's primary flight training squadrons, responsible for transforming students into naval aviators through rigorous flight instruction. The squadron has operated from various training bases throughout its history, producing thousands of pilots who went on to serve in Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard squadrons worldwide. The throwback patch design recalls the squadron's earlier era, when flight training meant open cockpits, fixed gear, and the raw fundamentals of stick-and-rudder flying. Every naval aviator who ever wore wings of gold passed through a training squadron like VT-2, and this patch honors that foundational experience.

Perfect For:
VT-2 alumni and instructors, naval aviation training graduates, student naval aviators, flight school nostalgists, Navy training command personnel, and military aviation heritage collectors
