The leather is a 3.5mm — approximately 3.8mm — grade full vegetable-tanned saddle leather, sourced from a historic tannery in Tochigi operating since 1937. The oiled finish gives the belt a subtle shine and elegance, while the robust workmanship ensures longevity across decades of wear. Over time, the vegetable-tanned leather develops a rich patina that reflects the belt's daily use.

The belt is finished with a solid brass "Kihon" buckle — "Kihon" (基本) meaning "standard" in Japanese. This carefully selected buckle is produced by a traditional Japanese buckle company operating since the early 1900s, combining elegant appearance with reliable functionality. At 39mm wide, the belt is the ideal proportion for pairing with denim, boots, and casual workwear-inspired styling.
